Hi There! I’m Chelsea Jolene!  I am the creator and writer behind  Chelsea Jolene Wellness!

I believe in the power of natural healing + wellness strategies to heal the body and make your life blissful and magical. My goal at CJW is to help you create a life that fills up your body, mind, and soul. 

Why Am I Here?

I fell into the health world at a very young age at 12 due to horrible cystic acne that left me searching for a new way that western medicine could not solve. My acne is what sparked me down the path of finding a healthier way to live and I am forever grateful for it. <3

I have been through quite a journey since then filled with everything between low energy, brain fog, year-round allergies, adrenal fatigue, leaky gut, bacterial overgrowth, candida, binge-eating, obsessive healthy eating and exercising, bloating, constipation, sugar cravings, missing periods, anxiety, post-birth control syndrome, and struggling emotionally and feeling lost in my purpose.

I healed my body by cutting out all processed foods and using functional medicine testing to figure out exactly what my body needed. My healing journey leads me to become a Nutrition Consultant.  And I am obsessed with helping and educating others to understand how simple healing can be! 

In 2014, I went back to school at the Institute of Integrative Nutrition and studied with the top experts in the field to learn all about Holistic Nutrition. (leading experts like Dr. Mark Hyman and Dr. Andrew Weil and so many more) And in 2019, I studied under a private mentorship with a leading functional medicine practitioner, Maggie Berghoff. In between all that, I have taken classes in Chinese Medicine, Ayurveda, and Hair Tissue Mineral Analysis.

12 Fun Facts About Me That Have Nothing to Do with Health!

  • I am an obsessive learner and reader. When I get excited about a new topic, I become obsessed and want to learn EVERYTHING.
  • Growing up, I wanted to be a teacher and author. And the 2 things I love doing today are educating people on wellness and writing blog posts. (And I will write a book soon!)
  • I love Nancy Drew computer games and I still play them when I want a break from life. This plays into my current life as I LOVE being a detective and connecting the dots on how to resolve problems.
  • I love astrology + human design. I think these systems are a beautiful balance of science and intuition. If you are curious, I am a Sagittarius Sun, Aquarius Moon, and Scorpio Rising. And my HD is a 6/2 (role model/hermit) Generator with Sacral Authority.
    If that doesn’t mean anything to you, I am a mixture of optimism and excitement, intelligence and uniqueness, intensity and passion.  An interesting balance to say the least.
  • I am a big FOODIE. Trying new restaurants is my favorite way to celebrate life with my hubby. We do not buy presents for each other instead, we go out to eat.
  • I love a clean and organized life. It’s a skill I am strengthening over time and I am learning a lot. The end result makes me feel so good.
  • I love coffee. It is my one vice that makes me super happy in my day to day life. I love working, writing, and being creative and coffee takes me to a place of bliss.
  • My favorite ways to relax include reading fiction books, watching reality TV, and baking fancy desserts but I am partial to decorating cupcakes.
  • I am introverted and spend a lot of time in my head thinking about what I can learn next and what I can work on in my life. (sometimes it’s a problem) But I treasure all the deep friendships in my life as I am not into small talk at all.
  • I am obsessed with floral design. Over half my closet are shirts and dresses with floral patterns. When I love something I go a bit crazy without even realizing it!
  • I don’t have perfect grammar. One of my pet peeves is people who get angry over bad grammar. Please calm down. If I have mistakes, please forgive me.
  • My life is nowhere near perfect, but I do the best I can every day to work hard and let go of perfection.
